Imagine an application that holds and organizes all of your important documents, thoughts, to do’s, and cheat sheets – all in one place, accessible from any device? Enter Evernote. This genius application makes accessing this information much easier. Here are just a few awesome things about the application:
- Besides being a centralized repository for accessing your documents, there are numerous ways to keep things organized in an orderly fashion. For instance, you
can setup multiple “notebooks” and use them as categories – i.e. home, office, projects, fun, ideas, etc. - Syncronization to devices. Access documents from your phone, computer, iPad … The paid version (only $5/mo) allows you to view your notebooks when you’re offline as well.
- A spiffy “tag” feature allows you to enter key words that will help you find information inside the application in the future.
- It accepts multiple file types. You can save MS Office documents, emails, pdf’s, audio, video, pictures, etc.
- The Web Clipper allows you to clip web pages from your browser that interest you. It makes saving web pages a cinch. Drag and drop the clipper to your browser, or view add-in/plugins to use with your favorite browser.
- When you’re searching within Evernote, you can search by:
- date created
- date last modified
- notes containing certain words
- the type of document.
